Praise the Lord! Each day has been getting better :) No fights or complaints, but there have been a few casualties from a falling whiteboard and falling table.... hopefully we work that out and it doesn't happen anymore.
Today we told the story of Jonah and the Big Fish. Our team did a skit for the first time this week, and they seemed to enjoy it! We also taught them about forms of transportation. (Because a fish a form of transportation, right? Haha jk.)
In addition to being attentive while listening to the Bible stories, the students have been on top of memorizing the Bible verses! We're so proud of them :') Today's verse was "If you love me, keep my commands," from John 14:15. Yesterday's was "Fear not, for I am with you," from Isaiah 41:10. We hope that they will remember these verses in their daily lives.
Here are some of the fish lanyards we are making for crafts this year.
And here's a picture of some of our teachers eating lunch with the TAs! It's such a blessing to get to enjoy a delicious meal every day with all the TAs and students.
We went to two family visitations today. This is Leo and William from our afternoon visitation, who coincidentally go swimming at the same place as Pastor Lin!!
Things have been going well, but there has been news of a big typhoon coming so we will most likely need to cancel class on Friday. Please pray that everyone will stay safe in the storm!
PRAYER REQUESTS
1. Please pray for safety during the storm this weekend, not just for us but for all the students and families as well.
2. Please pray that we will be able to overcome our language barriers and still be able to communicate with the children, their families, and even the TAs.
3. Please continue praying for our health and that we will be well rested each day! Praise the Lord that we are all still healthy and energetic, but we've still got a week and a half to go!
Thank you all so much for your support. We really couldn't be doing this without your prayers!
