SUNDAY FUNDAY

SUNDAY, JULY 10

This morning's devotion was about how everyone goes through challenging times in their lives, but for Christians, God's grace is sufficient and He is greater than our struggles. We must rely on God and not our own strength whenever we face obstacles.

After breakfast, we began preparing for the kids to arrive. They are going to sing for their parents and the church congregation today! We sang It's So Good to Know and Wanna Do Right. Although the students sang very loudly when we practiced on Thursday, they might have gotten a little shy when they saw all the unfamiliar adults watching them this morning. But they still did a great job!

It was nice to spend some time outside of class with the kids, and to also get to meet their parents :)

After service, there was a magician act, and then a delicious lunch provided by the church. Then we were treated out to shaved ice, thanks to Martin and Albert's parents (two of our TAs - brothers)!

We decided to go out for a movie with all the TAs before we wouldn't have any more time to do so. So we watched The Secret Life of Pets! Here's an elevator pic :)

We then went to the night market for dinner! It was Angela's first time!!!

Stinky tofu fries!! ^^^

Lastly we went back to the church to prepare for Monday. It's been a fun, relaxing weekend but it's time to get back to work! We're excited for this coming week and hope to make a lasting impression on our students.

PRAYER REQUESTS:
- For us to give 100% of our effort and energy to the students and their families this week
- For us to rely on and trust in God fully on this mission
- We will be sharing the stories of Jesus this week - from birth to death - so please pray that the students will understand and believe what we teach them and that God would open their hearts.

Thank you and much love from the Dong Hong team
